The first trip proposed is to the Museum of Modern Art, in Manhattan. I'm going to try to head there on Monday afternoon, and I'll be happy to see anyone who wants to show up then. My plan is to visit the museum and then, if the weather's good, head over to Central Park for lunch. Feel free to check out the posting and comment on it after Monday evening, or go on your own, write your impressions of the day, and email them to me. I'm always happy to have guest bloggers, and it's major extra credit to write about a trip. For more info on your pre-vacation sample assignment, and notes on who this trip is good for, check below the jump.
This trip is probably best for juniors, who are studying New York. (I think the MoMA still has something about the rise of the modern city, that might be of interest given your city projects.) But freshmen are also welcome to look for reading topics here, and come and enjoy Central Park in the sunshine.

ReplyDeleteMOMA costs $20 for adults and free for people 16 and under which iz kinda good. I would suggest that a class trip to another destination like Central Park or the Empire State Building would be better thought...
